A very personal piece for me, in memorandum of the biggest influence in my artistic life, the man who taught me art at the age of 16,
who sadly passed away in 1999. My work back then was nowhere near the standard it is now, and I believe he saw the potential that lay beneath the
horribly inaccurate anatomy and endless paintings of big cats, of an imagination unfettered by the mundane and the passion to bring it to life.
There isn't a painting or drawing I do that doesn't have a little of the legacy he laid down. He was truly a mountain of a man, and I miss his
wisdom and dry sense of humour, but most of all the like-minded artist who could teach me to see the world anew. I only wish I could say thank you.
