This piece won me my very first art award, when it was placed third in the DragonCon art show, as judged by none other
than Todd Lockwood. He later commented my completely dumbstruck reaction (it took me a good 60 seconds to get off
the chair and accept the award) was the highlight of the show. The title is derived from the short poem I wrote to accompany it:
Why should it matter, whether
or not we belong together,
for our hearts beat as one
